IFCA and AG Groups Call for Greater Collaboration in MAHA Commission's Work
IFCA joined a letter sent this week to Trump administration officials who are part of the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Commission. More than two hundred agricultural organizations signed onto the letter requesting a more collaborative and transparent approach in the ongoing work of the MAHA Commission.
The letter expressed concern over the Commission’s recent report, citing a lack of stakeholder engagement and scientific rigor. It also emphasized the importance of ensuring future policy recommendations reflect the insights and expertise of those directly involved in the nation’s food and agriculture systems, and encouraged a more collaborative process that welcomes public comment and incorporates diverse perspectives.
IFCA believe the Commission can more effectively support both consumer well-being and the continued strength of American agriculture
