IFCA Remembers Verlin Perry
Last week, Verlin Perry of Timewell, IL in Brown County died at the age of 88. Verlin lived a life of service, of hard work and of adventure, which you can read in his obituary here.
We remember Verlin as a dedicated and successful independent ag retailer, having gone into business in the early 1980's owning and managing Perry Feed & Fertilizer in Timewell. He passed along his work ethic and positive outlook on life to his family and son Ed, who carried on the family business until its recent sale to Prairieland FS. Verlin never missed an IFCA convention until his later years when his health kept him closer to home. He enjoyed the trade show floor, the hospitality events and being around his peers in the fertilizer and chemical industry. What a terrific man and citizen he was!
IFCA is grateful for Verlin's contributions to our industry and for the legacy he leaves, which is alive and well in his family and his son Ed, who continues working with many of the farmers that his father served for decades to help improve their farming operations. We will remember you Verlin, God bless!
