Feb 9 Spring 2018 Nitrogen Webinar - Register Today

In our on-going efforts to reduce nutrient losses, IFCA partners with NREC and the University of Illinois to facilitate research on the 4Rs, including studying various nitrogen rates, timing and treatments and how they perform in terms of crop utilization and impact on water quality.  The goal is to maximize nutrient utilization and minimize loss of nutrients to water.  This program is very successful and NREC is dedicated to delivering the research results to ag retailers, crop advisers and farmers to influence sound nutrient management decisions in the coming crop year.

On February 9, 2018 at 10:30 am central time, NREC, IFCA and the University of Illinois are providing a webinar entitled "Responsible Nitrogen Management in 2018:  Rates, Treatment and Timings.  We are very appreciative to GROWMARK for hosting the webinar for the industry.  We will offer 1 CEU in Nutrient Management for those who participate in this one hour webinar.

Last week at the IFCA Convention, the Sierra Club thanked our membership and NREC for continuing to support research that provides science based results from on-farm trials that truly represent what Illinois farmers experience in terms of weather, temperature, and nutrient application decisions.  This research fuels the nutrient recommendation system for Illinois and supports a system of reliable, responsible and defensible nutrient management decision-making by farmers and their crop advisers.  Please join the webinar, and share the information provided by NREC to help guide responsible nitrogen decisions in 2018.
