Fall Ammonia Safety Classes

Fall is just around the corner which means it's time to review the status of your employees' training and be sure that each person who works with ammonia is current on their required competent attendant training.  All employees who handle ammonia, work on ammonia equipment or transport ammonia nurse tanks are required to be have ammonia safety training at least once every three years.  You must attend a course approved by IDA to receive an ammonia training certificate.  This includes employees who work at farmer owned ammonia storage facilities.

IFCA and IDA are partnering to offer several certification courses throughout the state beginning in September.  Go to www.ifca.com to see the available courses and to register on-line.  If you have any questions about ammonia training or compliance with ammonia regulations, please contact John Rebholz at IFCA.
