Please Participate in March 30 Spring Nitrogen Webinar

At 9:00 am central on Thursday, March 30, 2017 Dr. Emerson Nafziger of the University of Illinois will provide a Spring 2017 Nitrogen Management webinar for IFCA members and crop advisers.  The webinar will run to 10 am.

As we head into spring, the findings from several NREC funded nitrogen research projects are critical to help our industry make solid nitrogen recommendations to our customers to assure nutrient availability and mitigate nutrient loss.  Given the warm fall and winter, many are asking questions about the status of the fall applied nitrogen in the soil, and Dr. Nafziger's N Tracking Study will provide the latest results of soil nitrate levels from these research sites.  He will also discuss rate and timing of nitrogen and crop response for various nitrogen treatments studied.

To register for this free webinar go to the link below.  We will offer 1 CEU in Nutrient Management.  This research, and this outreach effort, is all part of continuing our leadership efforts on the 4Rs and demonstrating to the Nutrient Stakeholders that our industry is committed to improving nutrient utilization based upon the latest findings and analysis of research performed on Illinois soils in on-farm situations.  By 2025, we must reduce nitrogen losses to Illinois rivers by 50 million pounds; that is the goal for the agricultural sector.  If you have any questions please contact Jean Payne.  IFCA thanks the GROWMARK Agronomy Division for hosting this webinar for us.
