Training Opportunities to Improve Safety and Compliance

IFCA's affiliation with the Asmark Institute helps us to offer professional, accessible safety and compliance training.  This summer there are plenty of opportunities to attend training in the following areas as outlined below.  Click here  to see a listing of the dates and locations of the classes.  Class space is limited so to ensure a seat you should register as soon as possible.  Click here to be directed to the Asmark Training Classes registration site.

Professional Applicator Training (1 day):  Classes will be held on September 28 and 30 at the Asmark Agricenter in Bloomington, IL
Ammonia Technician Course (3 days):  All classes are held at the Asmark Agricenter, starting again in August and going through December
NTIP Cargo Tank Testing Course (1 day):  Classes are scheduled for July 28, 29, 30, August 4, 5 and 6.  This class will train you on how to perform your own nurse tank DOT inspections
Safe Grain Handling Courses:  (2 days):  Classes begin in September and run through November.
Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) refresher and full courses:  These courses are taught at the Asmark Training Center in Lavergne, TN but the courses occur throughout the country
Responsible Ag Auditor Training (4 days):  If you are interesting in becoming an auditor for the Responsible Ag program, courses are offered throughout the summer, fall and winter at the Asmark Training facility in Owensboro KY.

Speaking of Responsible Ag, have you registered your bulk fertilizer storage facility in this stewardship program?  So far 106 IFCA ag retail locations have registered, but there are still many facilities which have not.  Please demonstrate your commitment to safety and compliance by doing that today.  Go to www.ResponsibleAg.org to register.
