Ammonia Training Options

IFCA is hosting several opportunities for ammonia training ahead of the spring season.  They are:

Classroom Training for Competent Attendants:  These courses offered by IFCA/IDOA provide a 3-year certificate for industry employees and farmers who own storage tanks.  Click here to see the locations and to register.  We are holding both morning and afternoon classes at each location.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, walk-in registration will not be allowed at any of the upcoming schools.

Temporary On-Line Competent Attendant Training:  If you are unable or uncomfortable attending a classroom event, this on-line option will provide you with a competent attendant certificate but the certificate is only valid until July 15, 2021.  Click here for a link to the on-line training.

Train the Trainer Classes:  These classroom courses are for persons experienced with ammonia who want to train farmers under the new regulations for grower training.  As a reminder for those individuals who have volunteered to train farmers on ammonia safety, the first class is this Friday, Feb 12 in Bloomington at the Agricenter, followed by Feb 18 in Rock Falls and Feb 19 in Effingham.  These courses will also certify employees as “competent attendants” in order to train farmers on anhydrous ammonia safety.

If you have any questions on any of the ammonia trainings listed contact John Rebholz at 815-674-3798 or john@ifca.com.
