On-Line Pesticide Testing Begins
This week, the IL Dept of Ag and the University of Illinois began offering applicators and operators the ability to sign up for on-line pesticide tests, as well as obtain on-line or self-study materials for the tests.
Click here to be directed to the page with instructions for the on-line testing process. It is extremely important that you carefully follow the directions when signing up for an on-line exam. You will need a computer or laptop to take the exam, you must schedule an appointment for each exam, and the fee for each exam is $12, which covers the cost of the on-line proctor who will monitor you through your computer camera and microphone while you take the exam.
The computer/connectivity requirements to successfully take a proctored on-line test are listed here.
You can also sign up for in-person testing, but availability of in-person testing is limited due to covid restrictions. To read about the Department's full pesticide testing and training options, including the link to sign up for in-person testing, click here.
