Pesticide Applicator Testing, NH3 Certificates, Updated FAQ

The Illinois Department of Agriculture is working to develop an on-line testing option for persons seeking to become newly certified pesticide applicators, but who missed the opportunity to test in General Standards and Field Crops or other categories before testing was cancelled.  As soon as we learn that this option is available we will let you know (we expect it to be available shortly).

Those who attended the IDA/IFCA anhydrous ammonia competent attendant classes this spring also may still be waiting for your certificates from IDA.  With IDA being closed for the time being, you may not receive your certificates until later.  IDA is also not sending out pesticide licenses that were in process before the shut-down.  Don't worry about these things, you are ok and the normal paperwork that was caught up in COVID-19 will catch up with you later.  IFCA has on-line 90 day ammonia safety training to accomodate those recently hired to work with anhydrous ammonia at a retail location who missed the spring ammonia training classes.

We are keeping the short IFCA FAQ covering the most commonly asked questions on COVID-19 regulatory issues updated frequently.  This document also contains contact information on how to reach the IFCA staff.  Please continue to visit our website for updated resources to assist you not just on COVID-19, but for temporary NH3 training, dicamba training, access to regulations, etc.
