Pesticide Container Recycling & Unwanted Pesticides Disposal

IDA is again coordinating the annual pesticide container recycling program.  They will accept clean, triple rinsed containers and will also accept clean, cut-up minibulk containers.  BUT you must call IDA ahead of time if you plan to take minibulk containers to the collection sites.  Please contact Rick Severns at IDA at 217-558-4074 to inform him of what type and how many mini-bulk containers you would like to recycle.  The first collection is August 16 in Morgan County.  To see the list of all the collection sites and for details on the container recycling program click here.

The IDA is also offering an unwanted pesticide collection program in Southern Illinois this year in Alexander, Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Massac, Perry, Pulaski, Randolph, Union, Washington and Williamson counties.  If any of your farmer customers have unwanted pesticides they want to dispose of safely, have them fill out and return this registration form to IDA to participate in the program.  Forms must be sent to IDA by July 24 in order to participate.
