Pesticide Container Recycling - Jugs and Minibulks

Click here to be directed to the 2019 Pesticide Container Recycling Program, including the dates and locations, what types of containers are accepted and how to prepare them.  The recycler will also accept mini-bulk containers.  Minibulks can be taken to scheduled collection sites or possibly picked up at your facility.  Please provide Department personnel with the weight of mini-bulk containers to be recycled.  Please contact Richard Severns at the Department of Agriculture via phone at 217-558-4074 or email at Richard.Severns@illinois.gov to make arrangements to have your minibulks accepted during a recycling event.

To Prepare Minibulks for Recycling:

A.  Mini Bulks (caged) containers must be triple rinsed and cut into 6 separate pieces - top, bottom and sides with fittings discarded (no metal, no wood).

B.  Any colored IBC Containers must be triple rinsed and cut in to 1-foot square pieces, fittings discarded (no metal, no wood).

Please make sure all containers, no matter the size, are triple rinsed and free of residue, or they will be rejected.  We appreciate IDA and our members working together to offer this program.  If you have questions please call IFCA.
