Entry Level Driver Training Extension, Anhydrous Ammonia Spring Safety Schools & IFCA Convention Regulatory Workshop

Extension of Compliance Date for Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT)

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has made notice of proposed rulemaking in order to extend the deadline from February 07, 2020 to February 07, 2022 for Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT).  This extension would allow more time for FMCSA to develop an electronic interface that will receive and store training certificates as well as allowing State Driver Licensing Agencies (SDLA) to modify their (IT) systems in order to receive driver-specific ELDT data from the Training Provider Registry (TPR).  Click here to read the Extension of Compliance Date for Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT)
