For many truck drivers in the United States, the world changed on April 1.

 

“After April Fools Day, our world does really change when it comes to ELDs,” said Matt Wells, associate director of the Midwest Truckers Association.

 

On April 1, truck enforcement officers began placing truck drivers out of service for failure to comply with the federal mandate to use electronic logging devices, unless they have an exemption.
