IFCA has partnered with the Illinois Secretary of State and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to provide an educational, informative, and interactive webinar that will cover what you need to know in order to be prepared for the February 7, 2022, implementation of the Federal Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT).  

 

The webinar will be Tuesday, July 13th, at 9 a.m. The presenters will be Kevin Dousterhaus with the Illinois Secretary of State and Dan Meyers with FMCSA.  Please click here to register for this webinar. 

 

What is ELDT? FMCSA's Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) program sets the baseline for training requirements for entry-level drivers.  This includes those applying to:

* Obtain a Class A or Class B CDL for the first time. 

* Obtain a Hazardous Materials (H), school bus (S), or passenger (P) endorsement for the first time.
