Auriga Industries of Denmark said on Monday that it had agreed to sell  its insecticide maker, Cheminova, to the FMC Corporation for about $1.4 billion in cash, plus the assumption of debt.

 

The deal is expected to bolster operations at FMC, which supplies insecticides, fungicides and other chemicals to the agriculture industry.
